You get some good RPGs, but Platformers are where it's at! Platformers are real games, unlike these RPGs, which is a nice (pre-made) story and some fighting. The involvement you tend to have is only to push the story forward. In effect, RPGs are easy to make, as proven by some series.

However, i would like to say MMORPGs can be an exception to this rule, as often, they give you a world, some skills and say "GO!".

    1. Grandia II DC- Um, hello?

    2. Skies of Arcadia: Legends GCN- I love the game's atmosphere. The skies, the pirates, the happy mood... The plot's not anything new, but it's still well done. The main party's very loveable, and Drachma's one scene is one of the few gaming scenes that's nearly made me cry (Kana and FFVII being the two that have made me cry), even though I didn't like Drachma that much! And then gathering the crew, and fixing up your base, along with the tons of sidequests. The battle system is rather boring against random enemies, but very fun against bosses, especially the ship battles. Music's great as well. (And yes, Legends is better than the original in every way.)

    3. Tales of Symphonia GCN- This game is classic feeling, as well as amazing. The plot, again, is nothing new, but it's done well, and has alot of twists, so you aren't going to always be knowing what happens when. The characters are great, more of a typical anime cast than a game's. There's enough sidequests to add a good 10 hours to your game, but they're not anything different from most old cRPGs were. The battle system is great, fun all of the time, even if you've played through a few times, and can easily kill anything, especially since you play as any character in battle. The music's pretty good. It really feels like an old SNES RPG with 3D graphics.

    4. Final Fantasy X PS2- Again, nothing new with the story, but it works well here. Great music, and good characters, with a fwe of them being great, and the others potentially great, but not touched upon enough. Lots of sidequests, some doubling the game's time. battle system's ok, but aeons make it more fun. The tons of FMVs are very cool, and make this a very fun game to watch as well.

    5. Kingdom Hearts PS2- Fun fun fun game. Plot ends up alot deeper than most cRPGs around, ironically. Fun battle system, and fun sidequessts. My onl cimplaint is witht hec haracters. Only afew of the originals are memorable, and the Disney characters would be better as original, deeper characters. I do feel that Disney detracted from this game, since it could have had more new, loveable characters, rather than including these characters that they ended up not having much personality. Meh to the music as well.

IRT OCB: Late Wonderboy games are a nice combination of RPG and platforms. Have you tried the last two MegaDrive ones?
